So today I want to tell you all about my results from this week and talk about the foods we eat and how they affect us.
So again I didn’t see the scale go down and again no disappointment because I am feeling awesome. I took a look at before and after pictures and my skin is definitely tighter in all the right places. So I guess it wasn’t just my imagination about feeling thinner. The products are great and easy to incorporate into your daily lifestyle. Join my Facebook group to find out more about the products.
Today I want to talk a little bit about the foods we eat and what they do to our bodies. Many people are eating foods that have many ingredients that they don’t even know what they are, you can’t pronounce their names and have no idea what the effect on the body is. These are not the foods we want to be eating. There are also lots of food that make claims on the front of the packages that sound great but if you look at the results that they are referring to it is less than impressive. They are able to make claims with very little data. Like reduced salt can be a claim that we see and all they need to do to make that claim is reduce the salt from the previous version. It doesn’t mean that it is good for you, but many people just look at the front and say well it is reduced salt so it must be good. Labels are a much underused tool that we all have access to. A good rule of thumb when looking at a label is that it should have fewer than five ingredients; one is best like green peas in green pea pasta for instance. If you can’t pronounce or have no idea what the ingredients are then it is probably not that great for you. If sugar is the first ingredient also probably not that good for you. Unfortunately we can also be fooled by things that look good on a label but can mean hidden things, such as natural flavors. This is a term used for many different things and some are not that great.
So the biggest thing that I can say is whole foods are the best for you especially if you know where they came from as there are things that can get added to our whole foods that we do not want also but that is a topic for another day.
Stay away from processed foods as much as you can and try to notice what happens in your body when you eat certain things.
I can talk for hours about foods and food choices so I will end with if you journal about the food you eat and the effects it has on you, you will know what to avoid and what is good for you.
See you next week!
