Digestive health has been a hot topic this week so today I would like to talk about digestive health and give you some ideas about what you can do to help keep your tummy happy and system in balance.
Digestive health actually encompasses more than just your tummy but if we have anything going on with our digestive system most people say they have tummy ache not oh my intestines are bothering me.
So the whole system relies on a healthy gut biome. We need to make sure that we have the correct balance of good bacteria to keep our system in homeostasis. If we are eating too much sugar for instance then it can throw your system out of whack. I use sugar as an example because that is a big one for many people but it can be too much gluten or dairy or anything really, we need to make sure that we are keeping things in balance.
There are different ways that we can accomplish this. We have supplements that we can take like prebiotics and probiotics that will help to keep you more in balance, as well as enzymes to aid in digestion, just check out the supplements that you are looking at for their quality and that they actually do what you want them to. Another thing you need to do is make sure that you are getting all the things your body needs like protein, fibre, greens, and water. We need to eat a healthy balanced diet to make sure that we keep our system in balance.
