So cleanse and detox are keywords that come up usually around this time of year. I would like to share with you what I do to accomplish this.
January is the time of year that people usually try to clean up their act a bit. New year's resolutions and all. One of the things that I try to do is a cleanse twice a year. We usually start our cleans in the middle of January so that way we can finish cleaning up the things that we have in the house that are special for Christmas and not have to try to binge to get it gone or just throw it out. This also takes away the pressure of the new years resolution since it is planned twice a year, it is not out of the ordinary, it is just part of the yearly routine. Now for me the cleanse is taking more supplements than what i currently do that are designed to help clean the colon, liver and kidneys. This is a month-long protocol that we do. Put an emoji in the comments if you want to know more about the supplements I use. Now the other thing that we do is also clean eating during this time period. You have heard me talk about eliminating things for the diet well this is what I do during this cleanse. I take out the dairy and the wheat and refined sugars again. This is helpful if you have gained a couple of pounds over the holidays. It will help to take them off quickly. I always feel better after doing a cleanse, I look at it as a body reset.
There are other things that you should also look at when you are trying to detoxify your body, that is the types of cleaning products you are using in your home and the products that you are using on your skin. These are all things that are absorbed into the system and need to be filtered out by our body systems, so the cleaner the things we have around us the better. Now I have explained the cleanse that I do. However there are other options one being doing a three day fast. This is also very good for a body reset. This is more challenging for many people as we all are in the mindset that we need to eat. Many people do a three day fast as part of their intermittent fasting schedule. For me this in not the way i go but everyone is different and you need to pick what is right for you.
